Notify Health Founder's Associate (Remote)

About Notify Health

Notify Health is a start-up nonprofit with a big mission: to ensure all Nigerian children receive life-saving immunizations. We were incubated by Ambitious Impact one year ago and are supported by Givewell, a leading charity evaluator. Up to half of missed vaccinations happen simply because caregivers forget or don’t realize they need to return. We’re here to change that! We use simple SMS and automated voice calls to help caregivers remember and track vital vaccination appointments.

We are committed to delivering a highly impactful, cost-effective program grounded in strong evidence. To achieve this, we take a tech-driven, pragmatic approach—leveraging existing government systems and Nigeria’s widespread mobile phone use. In collaboration with local partners, we collect simple details like a child’s name, birth date, and caregiver’s phone number, then send timely, targeted immunization reminders through our mass messaging system.

Following a successful pilot in Kogi State, where we enrolled 2,000+ children in just 3 months, we’re scaling up. In 2025, we aim to support over 20,000 caregivers across two states and expand into additional interventions that further improve child health outcomes. We are growing fast with a highly scalable solution and aim to reach millions of children within a few short years.

The team at Notify Health moves quickly, we learn constantly, and care deeply about impact. We are dynamic, always looking to improve our model, and are not afraid to pivot our strategy if the evidence shows that is the highest impact route. We’re looking for someone who shares our energy and drive to tackle undervaccination in Nigeria and beyond.

About the Founder's Associate Role

As Notify Health expands geographically and programmatically, we are looking for a Founder’s Associate to work closely with our Co-Founders, Daniel and Sam, across a wide range of organisational functions, but with particular focus on Operations and Fundraising. The role offers significant strategic insight into the org, ownership and is a unique opportunity to be an early and influential team member, helping shape our systems, culture, and trajectory as we scale to reach hundreds of thousands of children.

As a Founder’s Associate, you’ll be a generalist and problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys figuring things out, and wants their work to drive real-world impact. You’ll work as an extension of the Co-Founders across high-priority initiatives, gaining insight into strategic decision-making and contributing directly to the organisation’s success. This is an ideal role for someone with strong execution skills and the potential to grow into a future leadership position—or to explore and realize their own entrepreneurial potential in the non-profit sector.

Role responsibilities

We are a small and agile organization, and the Founders Associate role is designed to be an extension of the Founders. As such, you’ll work on high-impact projects across the major functions of the organization.

While your day-to-day will evolve, our highest priorities at the moment are on Operations and Fundraising and Communications. Here are some areas where we see you jumping in first:

Operations (30%)

  • Lead the design and rollout of our foundational systems: legal entities, financial and people processes, and core policies

  • Support with hiring rounds across functions

  • Optimize internal workflows e.g. in strategic planning, collaboration, knowledge management, or payments and grants to keep the organization agile and efficient

Fundraising and Communications (30%)

  • Identify, research, and pursue grant and funding opportunities alongside our founders

  • Maintain and tailor high-quality pitch materials (decks, one-pagers, budgets)

  • Lead external communications across LinkedIn, newsletters, and our website

Tech (20%)

  • Scope and support early-stage tech pilots to enhance our program delivery through piloting solutions such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for our digitization efforts, implementing Whatsapp as a reminder channel or using genAI to create an interactive chatbot.

  • Support the automation and streamlining of internal workflows using tools such as Google Apps Script, or Zapier

Programs (10%)

  • Assist with program design and geographical expansion through research, implementation planning, and strategy support

Special Projects (10%)

  • Jump into new opportunities as they emerge, from dashboards to field pilots

  • Shape your scope over time based on organizational priorities, interests, and strengths
